Re: web roller is loose

You will need to take the fuser out and remove the top part of the fuser where the web is.

there is a gear in there that fails to advance the web, it may need to be replaced

Fixing unit roller is stuck up. Check the cleaning web roller or the lower pressure bearing. You can spray the bearing with penetrating oil to loosen the rotation of the roller.

I have canon ir 5800cn error 014 please any help

There is service bulletin that says:
Measures against noise, E014, and faulty fixing caused by coming off of fixing roller
The fixing roller comes off, leading to noise, E014, and faulty fixing.
Because the fixing spacer [2] does not rotate while the fixing roller [3] is rotating, the retaining ring [1] becomes
detached due to frictional resistance with the fixing spacer, and the fixing roller comes off as a result.

<Factory Measures>
A projection (P-2 [1]) is added to the fixing spacer. When attaching the fixing spacer, fit the projection in a
groove (P-3 [2]) of the fixing roller shaft so that the fixing spacer will rotate together with the fixing roller and
frictional resistance between the fixing spacer and the retaining ring will be eliminated. Therefore, the retaining
ring is prevented from becoming detached.

Service Work:
Replace the fixing spacer with the new-type fixing spacer when the foregoing symptom has occurred in the
To prevent occurrence of the symptom, check the shape of the fixing spacer when replacing the fixing roller,
and replace with the new-type fixing spacer if the previous-type fixing spacer is attached.
<Point to note on attaching the fixing spacer>
Fit the projection (P-2 [1]) in the groove (P-3 [2]) of the fixing roller shaft to attach the fixing spacer.

Affected Machines:
iR C6800 EUR 230V JKH01022 and later
iR C6800N EUR 230V JKP02113 and later
iR C5800 EUR 230V KEN00106 and later
iR C5800N EUR 230V KES00135 and later

This is factory error, and I think that you must call service and have it fixed under warranty.

Hope that helped

That is a little question with a big answer. You first need to buy a web ($10-$30) and then replace the old one with it. This requires tools and if that appeals to you then I'll write the rest of this response, but it's a dirty job. The only tool you really need is a Phillips #2 screw driver. Else if this doesn't appeal to you then call a copier tech to do the job. Good luck either way.

How do I fix a broken fixing film

You don't have to fix the fusing film on a Canon IR-400, it dose not have one. It has a upper and lower fixing rollers. But it does have a Cleaning Web and it would show on the display that the web needs to be replaced or it codes out with a E005. Afixxing film is on a IR-200 & IR-210 & IR-2200 & NP- 1625 series
