A550 Lens Error

i am getting this Lens Error problem and comsequently, the camera keeps on turning off and i am unable to upload my pictures to my computer. If anyone can help me please do because i really need these pictures and it will take more than a wek to be repaired if i send it to Canon

The len of my powershot A550 camera is not coming out. it marks a massage.. Lens error, restart camera.
