Problem for Hotpoint 18 in. DC27 Slim-Line Built-in Dishwasher

The d'washer just stops after about 2,3 mins with light flashing

our hotpoint starts the cycle and within about 3 minutes it stops with the light flashing and nothing else. I pulled it out and noticed the hose was split. Is this the reason it stops or do you think there is another problem.
