Game freezes in the middle of the madden 2010 game

I had that problem with Madden 09.
I read on the internet that the older PS2 slimlines freeze
after Madden 06-07.
I bought a used satin silver SCPH 77001, a 2007 model I think,
and no more frezzing. plus this thing plays
all DVDs. not just some of them.

if this happens for more than one game, upgrade the software to 3.01 since 3.0 firmware had some issues.
if this happens only in one or few games, makesure that the disk is not scratched...
try upgrading to 3.01 anyway, since its the latest and see if that works.
that does not work , try calling sony for repair if its in warrenty
