All LEDs are polarity sensitive since they are unidirectional (anode & cathode). If the LED was connected the other way around, then even with a known good new LED, it won't light up. At other times, it is possible that the LED has a limiting resistor and/or another diode in series with its supply line. You need to check if this is also open.

Good luck and kind regards.

How to wire a 4 pin ProComm microphone to work on a 5 pin microphone for a Uniden Grant XL

The simplest way is to order a microphone adapter from ebay or a reputable CB shop. I have all my mics wired for standard 4 pin cobra. The standard 4 pin cobra is the most common and if you keep adapters handy then you can use all different kinds of mics on different radios.

Need manuel

I am assuming this is a CB radio, and i've found a manual for the LT model, found below, but not the XL. It takes you to Uniden's website. You may have to contact them directly if this doesn't help you out. If you haven't already, check the label on back for the model #. It may be listed that way, as there are some XL models listed.

Good luck, and please remember to rate my advice.
