Please check the thermostat instruction manual. maybe the thermostat has an option to turn on the fan at a certain time to circulate the air inside. Circulator blower (fan) will cycle ON for 10 minutes,OFF for 20 minutes when the thermostat has not called for cooling or heating for the past 60 minutes.

If you have not changed the configuration of hte thermostat, it will still try to operate as a programmable model. You can configure this thermostat as a non programmable type. If you have the manual for this thermostat, the process is located on page 22, if not, you can get a copy of it on my company website:
http://www.emshvac.com/Manuals/
The file is TH8320.pdf just either click and it will open or right click and select save target.

When we set the thermostat to a set temp why hour later the temp go down lower than we had it set on?

Double check your programming...there may be another scheduled 'event' and its dopping to a lower setting. A long shot though, if you are familiar with your particular stat.

My Honeywell Thermostat won't stay at the temp that I set it at!

You are likely running a schedule. When you go to tstat and change the temp it is a temporary setting that will expire in a given amount of time. 1, 2 3 hours etc. "HOLD" can sometimes bypass the schedule, "RUN" returns to the schedule. Not sure what model tstat you have but you have to exit your schedule.

How do I set the temporary or permanent override feature on the Honeywell RTH2310B model thermostat?

To set the temporary override, press arrows up or down to desired temp. This will keep temperature
at temporary setting for 2 hours then return to programming. To permanent override press MODE button until schedule period number disappears (number inside little house on stat). Then adjust temp with arrows. Press the MODE button again to cancel override and return to programmable.

My 52" dlp 1080P says check airflow and turns off. In same location for two years no dust bunnies air flow seems good, what can i do

That is a tricky sympton for that model . You'd expect it to only be prduced by the lamp temp sensor but the chassis fan stopping while tv is on can also produce that message on that model. I'd reccomend taking it to a repair facility . The chassis fan is the fan you can just see the edge/top of on the left side above the input jacks (looking at the back of the set with the back and the inner metal back removed). Other devices could possibly produce that mesage ,that model has 5 fans inside it! Temp sensors too.

Honeywell programable thermostat not recognizing nigh time settin

This is the problem you have when you rely on "modern electronics". Suggest you buy a manual 'stat and just turn down the temp at bedtime. Make it cold and use a blanket, that is what we did in the " good 'ole days".

Furnace with cold air only

Sequence of operation, Gas Furnace.

On a call for heat, the 24 volt thermostat sends a signal to the control module. The control module will indicate a call for heat with a light on the control either blinking or remain solid depending upon model. The inducer (exhaust) blower will purge all gasses from the furnace and pressurize a pressure switch. Once the pressure switch tells the module to continue, the electronic ignition will energize and send 120 volts to the ignitor. The ignitor will glow and you will be able to see it if viewed thru the small inspection port. Once the ignitor gets hot enough, it sends a signal to the module opening up the gas valve (24 volts). Either a pilot will come on or the burner tube will ignite then spread the flame to all burners. Lastly a safety sensor will be looking for a certain temperature within a few seconds and the furnace will continue to operate and the room air blower will turn on in a minute or two.

What could go wrong? The unit will not run if there is no signal from the thermostat (bad thermostat or broken wire), the control module does not sense a signal from the thermostat (bad control), the inducer does not energize (bad motor), the pressure switch does not close (blocked vent piping, bad switch, plugged condensate hose), the ignitor does not energize (bad control, bad ignitor), the gas valve does not open or there is no gas (bad gas valve, broken wire, no gas), the pilot does not lite (dirty pilot), the burner does not lite (bad burner, plugged orifice, not enough combustion air), the flame does not spread to each burner (bad flame spreader, dirty flame spreader, more bad burners), the flame safety sensor does not detect flame (dirty or bad flame spreader, bad flame sensor, broken wire, bad control), or the room air blower does not energize (bad fan motor, bad control).

Most newer furnaces will have a diagnostic center or control built into the control module. You may be able to view it as it is running thru a small viewing port. Some models will require the removal of an access panel prior to finding it. On the reverse of the access panel, there will be a diagnostic chart that will aide you in understanding any error code recorded (usually a blinking light).

This is why we technicians earn the big bucks!
