SOURCE: Clothes put in dryer, power

The dryer doesn't operate because the motor is not running and this is commonly caused by the blown thermal fuse which is located on the blower housing. This thermal fuse is wired in series with the motor and if it is blown open, power to the motor is cut and it will not run. Disconnect power then access and bypass the thermal fuse on the blower housing. The blower housing is located on the front left bottom of the dryer cabinet if the dryer has the lint filter on the front or at the rear left bottom if the lint filter is located on the top of the cabinet.

Bypass the thermal fuse by disconnecting the wires and connecting them together. Insulate them properly and plug the dryer back in. The thermal fuse is indeed blown and needs to be replaced along with the other part (thermistor or cycling thermostat) on the blower housing if the dryer starts. Do not use the dryer with the thermal fuse bypassed due to fire hazards.

Also note ITEM 7, "heater delay relay"?

Disconnecting and reconnecting MAY be resetting that relay!?

ALSO BE VERY AWARE OF THIS:

BEFORE the heater element can be energized, the rinse

the heater element will occur if the element is not submerged
in water!

Hello, I have the Asko W6761 and all of a sudden it doesn't run the cycle anymore. It starts normally, i.e. pumps water into it, but then it doesn't start to wash..any idea what this could be? After a few...

Hello, my W6761 becomes the same. When it happens, you can clear the problem by "soft ware reset". Following is the procedure:
1. Power it on
2. Push Start/Stop buttom 5 times
3. Push "Enter", ">", "<", "Menu" buttons (from right to left)
4. Again, push "Enter", ">", "<", "Menu" buttons
5. Wait for 30 seconds that the above soft ware cycle resets the internal status
6. Toggle the power switch
7. You need to execute above "soft ware reset" within 15 seconds

Start washing and check to see if above reset the problem.
If it does not begin to work, repeat above "soft ware reset" cycle until it begins to work.
My W6761 once needed to repeat above cycle 7 times to solve the problem.
W6761 seems to be weak at high ambient temperature.

I have a 1996 dodge avenger with trouble codes p1782 p1783 p1784. what are the exact problems with my tranny?

Battery voltage removed from TCM when the key is in the Run/Start position [car running]
?
Theory of Operation: A battery backed RAM (Random Access Memory) is used to maintain some learned values. When the battery B(+) is disconnected, the memory is lost. When the B(+) is restored, this memory loss is detected by the TCM. The code is set and the learned values are initialized to known constants or previously learned values from EEPROM. This results in the reinitialization of some parameters.

Transmission Effects: Loss of trouble code data. Immediate limp-in mode if power is lost while operating the vehicle. Normal operation is resumed if the power is restored during the same key start.

Possible Causes:

Battery voltage removed from TCM <--clean the battery terms

TCM disconnected .<---- check plug

Bad TCM ground circuit. ,<--check/clean grounds

Bad TCM

find the TCM here.. start with checking the battery

Asko W6761 - seems fine, starts to fill 40 seconds then stops!

My W6761 once needed to repeat above cycle 7 times to solve the problem.
This problem happens in mostly in warmer season, so this will be related with high ambient or water temperature.

ASKO technician may replace the controller but even with the replaced controller, this problem often happens.

New start button?

Hello Colette,
When a component sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work, it suggests the component itself is functioning correctly. Check for loose wire connections on the door switch, the start switch, and on the cycle-reset switch which is located on the cam-timer assy of the machine (if so equipped). Cam timer assy is behind the kick-plate, under the door.
