Bought a house with Lennox G12Q3-82-3 furnace. It doesn't look like electronic ignition. A sticker showing AirMedic Electrostatic Air Cleaner says it was installed 10/1992. Doesn't work.

Here's some borrowed info.:
`These are classic symptom of a limit switch opening. Can't guarantee that is what is going on, but here is some things that can cause the limit switch to open:

1) Low air flow. This can be caused by dirty filter, dirty blower wheel, dirty air conditioning evaporator coil, restricted or collapsed ductwork, blower motor running the wrong direction, blower running on too low of a speed, defective limit switch, or a combination of several of these factors. Inspection along with measuring the temperature rise will find most of them.

2) Heat exchanger failure. Split or burned through heat exchanger

3) Over-fired furnace. If you have eliminated everything in section 1 and 2, and the temperature rise through the furnace is still high, you need to check the furnace to make sure it is not burning more fuel than it is designed to burn. If it is a natural gas furnace, you can check the amount of fuel that is being burned by clocking your gas meter.

Here is a link that will tell you how to use your gas meter to calculate the BTU input of your furnace. It should never be more BTU than the furnace's rated input.
http://www.bacharach-training.com/referpage/clocking_gas_meter.htm

The problems you have could be potentially hazardous. If you are not able to aggressively find the problem on your own, you should hire a professional to look at the furnace immediately. The G12 furnace is getting relatively old. If you have never had it professionally inspected (sounds like you haven't), you probably should have a professional look at it immediately.' END QUOTE

Cracked Selkirk METALBESTOS gas vent pipe on 80% efficiency furnace (Trane XE80)

I would check with a local furnace company that installs Tranes and ask if they sell to the public, if so buy it.

I am looking for electrical schematics for the Trane XE80 furnace. I think the ignitor is getting too much voltage such that it is failing too soon. I measured 100 VAC on the 24 VAC ignitor.

Hi,
The electrical schematic will be on the inside of the lower door...
Check also that the board has not been changed...
Also some of the newer furnaces do use a 120v ignitor and maybe you are being given the wrong one...check the full model and serial numbers to figure which ignitor you need...
I thnik you have a 120v board in there...there is really no way a 24v board can give you 100v...that means you should be getting a new style nitride ignitor that is 120v...

Need to replace bearing for blower in trane xe80. where can i find a parts list & purchase this part

I would try a local furnace distributor and installer. Some times the installers can be a wealth of information. If in the Warrren/Youngstown Ohio area I would see Pete Torok at Torok Heating Supply, or McCruddens on Indianola. A good furnace supply place that handles Trane products. If you wish to call and order parts here is the phone number to a very good person to ask is Torok supply at (330)-799-6677 he is a good honest man and runs a great business here in Youngstown.the other is McCruddens at (330)-744-4108 these two are the problem solvers and then some. I am sure that they will be happy to help you out and possibly refer you to some one in your area.

My trane XE80 will only blow cold air. The fan

It sounds like the problem is a tripped limit switch. Look in the burner compartment and on the blower assembly for a switch that looks like the one below. It will be about the same size round as a quarter. Press the red button on any of the switches you find, then re-try furnace.
