Hello,

First off how did you dry your phone ? Also how wet did it get ? Fall in deep water totally submerged and how long ?

The best way to dry a phone out is to put it in a bowl of dry rice and cover it (seperate the battery from the phone and put both in) close it and wait at LEAST 24 hours before trying to turn the phone on.

If you don't do so you risk shorting your phone out. This is probably your situation. It can damage any number of important parts of your phone.

Basically your stuck with replacing it, as having it refurbished or repaired will not be cost effective compared to replacing it.

Post back if you have any further question's or comments. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Remove the batteries completely and do no power on at all...Leave it open and remove sim, battery cover etc and leave to dry in the sun if possible making sure the screen is not facimg the sun..Leave for 24 hours min and if you are lucky then it should be back to normal.(This happened to me and I had to unscrew the 2 screws at the bottom back and opened the whole phone and cleaned etc until it was back to normal..)This should solve your problem.

My nokia 6300 keypads do not respond

Hello

1. Any time your phones gets wet or by accident the phone falls off in a pool of water the best remedy is to take the batteries off immediately, don't turn the power key on, and wait for 24 hours for the phone to dry out completely.

2.If that does not work then you might need to Change the keypad,go to the nokia service center and you would get it replaced.

THANK YOU

Phone got a tiny bit wet. No usually just two

take apart the phone and take out the mainboard and soak it in isoprophanol to dissolve oxide/corrosion.
use a soft toothbrush to wipe off dissolved oxide.
rinse with plenty of isoprophanol to clean the mainboard properly.
let it dry, mount the phone and it will work again.

My nokia 6300 is showing memory card removed but card is in.

I think believe it or not that there is moisture still in the phone. I dropped my 6300 in the bath and managed to get the battery out of it quickly enough and dried it out thoroughly and it works as before. The best thing to do is to take the battery out of it and leave it on a radiator on low heat face upwards for a few days. Then try it without the memory card first the re-insert the card and see if it registers. Hope this helps.
