You are asking how to use any laptops aux, VGA port ?
the manual on all Dells tell you the hot key for that.
ever one does some are fn+f8
lets to dell.com and read together,ok?

the dell users manual seems lost at dell (they have issues)
the service manual is there. shows this.

one 15-pin VGA connector

one dual-mode DisplayPort connector

with docking station more ports. (ill pass)
lacso which one do you want to use? unstated by you .

in clear text google search, I found this 1st hit.
the key has icon 2 nano sized screens... as the clue.

Connect the monitor to the laptop. Use a standard VGA-to-VGA cable. Plug one end of the VGA into the VGA-out port on the left side of the laptop. Connect the other end of the cable to the VGA port on the rear of the monitor.
Turn the computer on. When it boots up try using the "F" keys along the top row of the computer keyboard. One of the F keys should extend the desktop to your monitor. (Other F keys may move the entire display to the monitor or make all displays go dark.)

Sounds like your computer has just bit the dust, do your self a favor and purchase a new one. This time buy an XP, it might be a little bit more, but you get what you pay for.

SOURCE: I have a new Dell

I'm assuming you are using some version of MS Windows.

I found this on the Dell support website;

  • Click Start.
  • In the Search box type main.cpl, click main.cpl in the list of programs.
  • In Windows XP click Run, type main.cpl in the box next to Open, click OK.
  • Click the Dell Touchpad tab.
  • Click on the picture of the touchpad.
  • Click Touchpad Settings.
  • Make sure there is a check in the box to the left of TouchCheck, move the slider bar all the way to the right (this can always be adjusted back).
  • Uncheck the box to the left of b>Tap to Click.
  • Move the slider in the Touch Sensitivity area to the right until it is 3/4 of the way toward Heavy Touch.
  • Click Apply, then click OK.
  • Click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
Hope this helps ;)

Hi. My Dell Latitude E6410 does not recognize a Epson Projector, model EMP-7800. How can I solve the problem?

Hi
you must tell the laptop to display out on the projector,
how to do that?! you must toggle the display path
Generally, there is button ( with Fn keys ) have dusplay screen sample on it, use it with Fn to toggle the display
Display have 3 modes:
  1. laptop screen
  2. outside LCD projector or monitor,
  3. or bith 1 + 2

you can press the keys 3 times ( at maximum ) to have the display on both laptop screen and projector

Good Luck
