Display says Car Kit, how do turn off? - Cell Phones

This kit has frozen and will need to be reset by unplugging the main blue box for a few minutes, this should rectify the fault. If this does not work you will have to upgrade the software on the Parrot.

Please note this car-kit will not work in cars that use optical cabling. Check with your car dealer before ordering. Also, since this car-kit is installed by hard-wiring to the existing car stereo, professional installation is highly recommended.
Turn on the car engine and the phone connects wirelessly to the Parrot CK3100 Car Kit. The screen unit has easy-to-navigate menu options just like your phone, and your mobile phone book is wirelessly downloaded to the car kit. Calls can be dialed either through the screen, or by using voice-recognition speed dialing. According to your phone's model and firmware, most features are accessible from the hands free console, including one-touch redial, dual call, and auto-answer.

The cable has come out underneath the display, you will have to pull it off the dashboard and unscrew the two small screws behind, you will see the connector there.

Car kit mode means one of two things, first it could have a piece of lint or paper stuck in the charge port making it think there is a car kit plugged in, or second it could be that some moisture got into the port and its giving a indication that something is plugged in. and thats why you're not getting any sound. There is no specific setting to turn on or off 'car kit' mode you can use a paper clip or something and mess with the port a little bit to see if 'car kit' goes away or replace phone

Go into Profiles and change this to General.

Go into Settings/Configuration and look for Connections. Have this changed to Headset and you should be fine.

e51 does not work with parrot ck3100

power to kit needs to be stoped, try removeing the radio fuse then attach again this should reset it

To pair you must first turn bluethooth feature ON on Sony phone. This usually has an indication on lcd display when it turned ON (it looks like a headphone sign) the you must turn visibility of your phone ON making it ready to be paired. Following instruction that came with bluetooth kit put bluetooth in pairing mode when its in paring mode led lights will rapidly fash. At this point you phone should pick up bluetooth if it doesn't then do a search for bluetooth devices with your phone and it will find the bluetooth (make sure its in pairing mode) It will display the bluetooth type and model number. It also may ask for security code if it does it 0000 set by default. Then pairing should be complete just save and you should be good to go. Good luck and thanks for using fix ya

the problem is in the port where you plug in the charger.. one of the little pieces inside there is broken or out of place... try GENTLY messing around with it with something pointy..( I just used a big pointy knife) With mine it was the last little poky thing in there that was frayed... it works fine now tho... It's actually something wrong with your phone. The connector on the bottom of the phone may have gotten wet. If you are comfortable taking the phone apart you can clean the connector w/ 99.5% isopropyl alcohol and a soft bristled brush. Good luck.
