It might be a hardware problem, if you already tried the soft reset (removing the battery) then the next step is to hard rest. This will lose all your information and settings, the phone will be like the first day you took it home (and hopefully the screen will work) First make sure the phone is off, then press and hold the TALK/SEND, END and POWER buttons until you see a message on the screen. Once the message appears release the buttons and press the volume up key for a hard reset. Goodluck!
I hope you have your contacts backed up because there is no way to unlock it without performing a Hard Reset. First hold down both soft keys and the soft reset hole at the bottom by the memory card slot simultaneously. The soft
keys are the 2 dots to the left and right of the D-pad. If you do it
correctly, on-screen prompts will appear on a white screen, just follow it from there! Goodluck!
How to Hard Reset the Samsung Omnia
Many people do not know how to hard reset the Omnia phone. The manual does not teach you the trick of doing this. You may follow the steps below to reset it to default factory settings. 1. Poke the soft reset hole beside your power button(Poke and Release) 2. Press and hold the Call and Cancel Button together(Do it immediately after Step 1) 3. Do a hard reset. To do a hard reset hold down the red and green buttons on the front of the phone and push the reset button on the bottom of the phone at the same time with the stylus. This just fixed my problem
