Question about Scanners
I'm attempting to program my uniden bc147xlt scanner. I bought the scanner off of ebay and it didn't come with a book or instrutions. If you can help me that would be great.
To program the uniden bc147xlt use the manual button to select channel you want to program. punch in the desired 6 digit frequency then press E, press review to check that frequency was input correctly then use the manual button to go to next channel for programming.MAKE SURE WHEN ENTERING FREQUENCY YOU INPUT THE (.) AFTER THE FIRST 3 DIGITS FOR EXAMPLE GO TO CHANNEL 1 PRESS 149.220 E AND YOU should have no problem programming . hope this is helpful

Using the Manual Button, choose what channel you want to program, enter the 1 st. 3#'s, press the decimal button then enter the final 3 #'s, press the E button & proceed with each channel. It is better if you start at channel 1 & write down the freq placed on each channel for future reprogramming if need be. This process works on most scannerrrs!

I also have the same scanner but most/if not all of my local frequency channels are 8 digits long when my scanner will only allow 6 digits. Can I omit the last few 0's at the end of the frequency number and if so will it still program the channel?
