My Nitro Wall climber only cleans a small area back and forth for the entire 3 hour cycle. It litterally rocks back and forth in 1-2 second motion spurts. The drive wheel in the back seems to be working,...

The pump motor is responsible for the programming of the unit and it is failing. You will need a new pump motor installed to correct the issue. For information about sending the unit in for repair you can try our site at or the manufacturer at

I have a Pool Eye PE23 and the instructions don't show how to install it on an above ground pool. Do I put it on the railing as I haven't got a deck for the pool?

This particular pool alarm is made for an inground pool. As far as I am aware, you cannot use in on an above ground pool. You will need a pool alarm that is designed for an above ground pool.

Alarm only goes off if something goes off in deep end

These pool alarms are designed so any time something breaks the surface of the water, the alarm is sounded. They are designed for movement in the entire pool. Make sure that your alarm is positioned properly so that it is not strictly monitoring the deep end of your pool.

Need to use the smartpool Orion pool cleaner on 240 volt 50 hz power. A friend bought one in the USA (100v, 50Hz) but is using it in Cyprus where the home voltage and current are different. He has a 240 to...

It will not work on 50 Hz. You could try a variable frequency drive to up the cycles or check with an electronics shop to see if they have a lower cost way of stepping up 50 to 60 cycles, otherwise it won't work.

How does the alarm work?

The Pool Alarm can be a life saver because it is mounted to the side of the pool and has an electronic sensor that detects any agitation in the water other than ripples caused by the wind. When triggered, the Pool Alarm will give off a very loud noise around the pool as well as at the receiver placed inside your home.

Recommended pool alarm

The type of pool alarm suggested would probably be good, but I would suggest a perimeter type also there are door alarms. I would prefer to run after and stop my child from falling into the pool than to wait till he/she does falls in. The best alarm is yourself in doing things to prevent the child from getting out to the pool. I added a smaller type of dead bolt at the top of the door/doors leading to the pool and I make sure both dead bolts are locked at all times. If I'm out by the pool then common sense tells me to be aware of where my child is at all times. Also I have a home alarm system that is zoned so the rear doors and windows are armed.
