The normal method to reset a radio after wrong codes is to leave it SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to l automatically reset itself. This can be many hours as the waiting time doubles after each wrong code....but normally it is only an hour or two
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you require the correct code for your radio  POST ANOTHER QUESTION quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS, BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.

Also quote the MAKE of CAR it is fitted into

note: not all codes are available to be calculated using the serial Number

You best chance it to search google with the make and model of your car radio, the information you get probably wont be in the form of a data sheet but an answer on a car audio forum.
Alternatively you could post the make and model of your car radio here and hopefully someone will be able to help a bit more.
Cheers
Mike

The radio!

If I recall the radio locks itself after 3 wrong codes are entered. Disconnect the car battery, or the radio itself and plug it back in after a few minutes. I should then ask for a code when you press the power button.
