I have a liteon laptop adapter for a think note, it has output of 19v and 3.16 a. But it got busted. I need to get some files asap and thought of using my old liteon adapter. But it has output of 19v and 2.4 a. Can I use it? Thank you so much for you time.
Yes should be no problem if the plug will fit in the laptop. Probably won't charge the battery but seeing as it is putting out less amps I can't see it hurting anything. Have used an adaptor like that on my IBM for some time now. Calls for 4.5 amps but I only have an adaptor that puts out 3.8. Works fine just have to turn it off to charge the battery.
