Power off and power back on . if that doesnt work go to menu >settings>sound and display>scroll all the way down to G-sensor calibration and once done power on and power back on.

Did you back up your phone properly with the " nandroid", if so completely wipe your phone & do a "clean" install of the new application. Once you get your phone up & running you can download the newest version 4.0.2.

Do you have it set to "automatic orientation" under settings?if you are not sure, you can check in settings>power>battery power. if the "turn on backlight when a button is pressed" is not checked then your backlight will not come on.auto-rotation only works when the backlight is on..also check if the setting was defaulted to landscape mode by accident. Go under settings system screen and make sure portrait is your default setting. .eselect portrait mode from the screen settings page

When you go to landscape mode, You have to re-orient the screen with
the control panel applet. You can usually get to it by going START/SETTINGS then using the cursor pad to scroll to SYSTEM/ALIGN SCREEN.

Why is everything i look at inverted?

If everything is inverted, you may have the display orientation set for Landscape/Portrait (flipped). In this case, the taskbar will be at the top of the screen. With most Windows OS versions, click on the desktop (anywhere with no icons or running programs) and select Screen Resolution. In the drop down menu for Orientation, change the setting. (Landscape is usually the desired choice for computers with Widescreen displays.)

With some laptops, you may find this under Display Properties or Graphics Options. (On my desktop, changing the Graphics Option is available but doesn't work.)

I hope this helps.

Dropped Laptop and Screen is now Sideways

Try pressing Ctrl + Alt + UP Arrow Key, or try Ctrl + Alt + and a different Arrow Key.

If that does not work: Right-click on empty Desktop > Graphics Options > Rotation.

or
Press "Ctrl-Alt" and an arrow key (left, right, up or down) to rotate the screen.
Continue pressing the hotkeys and arrow keys until you reach the desired rotation. This works with most video drivers on Windows XP. If it doesn't,

Click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Display," then the "Settings" tab. Click the "Advanced" button. Check for an "Orientation" option. Select your desired orientation.

hope this helps

How do i get my laptop screen thr right way up i pressed somthing and its gone upside down

You probably flipped the screen orientation (rotated it).

For some versions of Windows (XP and Vista), try pressing Control (Crtl)+Alt+Up arrow (press the three keys together). You can also try the other arrow keys with the Crtl+Alt keys. The Crtl and alt keys are both usually in the row with the space bar. On a full-size keyboard, there are two Ctrl keys on the ends of the row and the alt keys are closest to the space bar.

Otherwise, right click on the Desktop (where there are no programs or icons) and choose Graphics Options > Rotation. Another place to check is right click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution > Orientation. This is a shortcut to accessing the display properties in the Control Panel. Click Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Screen Resolution. For a widescreen monitor, choose Landscape.

I hope this helps.

(The ctrl+alt+arrow key doesn't work on my Win7 desktop but does work on the laptop. The Orientation change from the control panel works on both.)

I was dusting my acer monitor and microsoft wireless keyboard and i must have hit something because now my monitor is reading sideways and the mouse wont work with it either. Can you tell me what I need to...

Sounds like you changed the orientation of your display settings from landscape to portrait.
In Windows 7 you can go to the control panel, choose display and click "Change Display Settings" on the left side.

From there choose the "Orientation" dropdown and change to your desired setting (most likely landscape)

Good luck

Orientating my Screen after I switch into tablet mode.

You can press the Orientation Button located in the right bottom corner of screen. It is marked with two arrows following each other in a circle.

Moreover, you can set as default the screen orientation you desire in Tablet Properties.

Also, remove the battery for 10 seconds and reinsert. This will enable auto orienting of screen.
