PSP turns on but stuck at gray screen with loading icon

I would advise on reinstalling the firmware with a pandora battery setup. Else, you may be able to insert a copy of Hellcat's recovery flasher onto your MMS and have it install a new firmware for you through the recovery menu. It just depends on how broken your PSP's firmware is at this time. The Wololo.net forums are your friend on this one.

How do i get passed the boot menu on my Archos 101?

If you are not getting the boot menu when holding the - when powering on and only getting the recovery, that verifies that it did not install. Have you tried downloading the SDE firmware again and then try isntalling? maybe it did not download correctly. Did you download the correct SDE for the Gen 8, not the one for Gen 7 or 6? You followed the directions to install the SDE on a Gen8 on

I need to activate my WMA player when i connect it says it cant connect do to internal problems

Are you running custom firmware? or official firmware?

If on Custom Firmware, it is a problem with your custom firmware itself. If you are on Official Firmware, update to a later FW and try again. If it is a PSP 3000 model I would recommend NOT updating past 6.35, because there is no way to install CUSTOM firmware if you decide you want to.

If you HAVE custom firmware, try to enter your recovery menu, go to Registry Hacks, and enable the WMA player from there. If that doesnt work, find HellCat's Recovery Flasher, and try to reinstall custom firmware (PSP 1000 and FIRST GEN 2000 models ONLY! NOT 3000 or 2ND GEN 2000!!).

Hope I helped.

HOW TO DOWNGRADE FROM 5.03 GEN B TO 4.21 CFW

Ok, go to your Game menu and scroll down to the memory stick. Hopefully you should still have the 5.03 GEN B CFW on there, if not just connect your PSP via USB and put the file that contains the firmware your PSP is on at the current time in the PSP/GAME folder. When you have the 5.03 CFW on your memory stick press X to load it but then hold the left hand shoulder button. This will then bring up a menu where you can press different buttons to perform different functions. With GEN B it should be "Select" to uninstall the GEN B CFW. This will then remove it back to ChickHen (which I presume you are using). You should then be able to install the CFW of your choice.

Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa

Have same prolbem as kazza. have tried another tv but still cant get anything on screen cant get menu screen on tv

Does discs still load/eject into the drive? If so, you may have a corrupt HDD.

Try to boot into the recovery menu:

Power on the console (green light)
Power off using front power button (red light)
Now power on from front power button, continue holding the power button until you hear a 'beep'. Still holding the power button, a few seconds later you will hear 2 quick beeps, as soon as you hear the 2 beeps, let go of the power button and it should boot straight into the recovery menu.

From the recovery menu, choose to restore the HDD.

You CANNOT downgrade to an earlier custom firmware or software sit until a newer custom firmware is available. You will have to make a Pandora Battery and a Magic Memory Stick. Basically you have to open up a PSP battery and cut a certain peg. The magic memory stick is alot easier and doesn't pose a threat to the PSP. Watch a tutorial on youtube for the Pandora Battery so you don't stuff up, there is a different method for the PSP Slim battery

Sony psp error code 80010002

if you are having the error code "80010002" then shut down your psp, then start it up again holding the Right Trigger to activate recovery menu.
go to Configuration, and use no umd.
then go to Advanced, then Advanced configuration, then disable both of them.

Hope this helps.
