Try using a ground isolator. You can buy them at radio shack, or your local hardware store for under 10 bucks. this item has three holes on one side and two posts on the other. it takes the ground out of the tv. We call those a scrolling line or a hum. Can be caused by incorrect wiring in the tv or the wires that run to the tv, could be running with electrical lines or an hvac unit. try this solution if it doesnt work then go to the altrenative which is sending the unit out for repair.
I keep running into this problem I have the LG 60PC1D and the sound comes through perfect but no picture. I keep resetting the tv by unplugging it and replugging it back in but to no avail. How can I fix this from happening in the future.

it'll not be there when tv off because dead pixels do only show when back light of screen comes on, anyway if you still have a warranty then ask for them to check it out as it sounds like you need a new screen there mate
All I can say is when you watch T.V. the plasmas run off of plasma gas and when you leave something on for so long it burns in the screen. I have the same T.V. and when watching like the weather channel it leaves lines but they go away. If yours are permanent then you can't do anything, but it may help if you go on your remote and go to "menu" then look for "setup" and scroll down with the arrows on your remote. Look for "screen burn protection" and select "white screen". This will make your whole screen white and it may take out the lines. If you let it sit white it won't hurt it. All one color won't hurt, the only thing that hurts is like bright white lines in front of a dark background. Just give your T.V. a break from time to time ESPECIALLY ON VIDEO GAMES. T.V. shows that are HD usually have their channel icons that move or are very dim and they won't hurt. Just go to what I told you and let it sit about 20 minutes, if that doesn't help, then the T.V. you have i believe comes with a 2-year standard warranty and if it's under warranty take it back if you have the reciept. If you don't have the reciept then call 1-800-SAMSUNG.
All I can tell you is that you maybe have left your T.V. on a channel that didn't move for so long, or maybe someone else did and it burnt the screen. Plasma's run off of plasma gas to create the great picture and they collect on the screen and stick. What you need to do is go to your menu and look for "screen burn protection" and put it on white and let it sit for 20 minutes. All of one color such as white doesn't harm your T.V. The only way anything burns is like a bright white line in front of a black background.
You have a burn in problem from watching widescreen movies. If you have access to a signal generator or tv setup disc run a perfectly white screen on the plasma for about 30 min. This should help even out the pixels on the display.
