Look in the back of the computer... youll probably have to take most of it apart... may i recommend you take camera phone pics of each step to assure that you get things replaced in the same manner.

How do replace keyboard on a dell 15 ?

It’s easy to break the flimsy keys on most laptops. Sometimes it’s cheaper to find a laptop keyboardfor your model laptop elsewhere than going through the manufacture. Removing the Damaged Keyboard…
Enusre the laptop is fully powered off, unplugged from the wall, and the laptop battery taken out.
Turn the laptop over. On some models icons indicating which screwsare attached to the keyboard are displayed. If not, you may have to“eyeball” it if you can’t find a breakdown for your model (such as dell pa 12 or pa 10)online.
Remove those screws with a T-8 or Phillips screwdriver.
Turn the laptop back over and open it up. Check and see if thekeyboard is tucked under any plastic pieces. If so, find if thoseplastic pieces are screwed into anything, and unfasten them as well. Ifnot, it probably uses clamps that can easily be removed.
Remove the plastic pieces carefully with a toothpick or plastic pick if there is any in the way.
Unscrew any screws at the top (if necessary) and remove the keyboarditself from top to bottom. You’ll notice that the keyboard is connectedwith a thin, but wide, data cable to the system board at the bottom.
Take that same pick and lift the plastic connectors that hold in this data cable in place.
carefully remove the data cable. Now the whole keyboard should be free.

Take the new laptop replacement keyboardout of the plastic, and slip the data cable back in between the plasticconnectors on the system board. Make sure it’s all the way in.
Use the pick to push the plastic connectors back into place, and make sure it’s holding the data cable in.
Slip the keyboard itself into place, from bottom to top. Make sure the screw holes or clamps line up at the top.
Refasten the keyboard in place at the top.
If you had to remove any plastic pieces, carefully snap them back in and replace any screws you had to remove.
Turn the laptop over and replace all of the keyboard screws.
Finally, put the battery back in and power on the laptop. If all hasgone well, the keyboard should be functioning like brand new.

Patriot 3070/ elite G320L1 laptop how do i get to the mobo

Remove all the 13 screws from the bottom. Remove the Battery and 3 more screws from the battery bay. There's another one in the corner under the Fan cover and you'll find two more when you pull out the CD-ROM Drive. Total: 19.

Now turn the whole thing around and extract the keyboard. It is snapped into 4 tiny "claws" at the spacebar side. Positions: below the Fn-key, below the middle between the ALT-key and it's neighbour to the right, below the ALT-GR key and below the cursor-down key. If you can't see them you can feel them either with your finger nails or with a knife. Push them towards yourself, i. e. towards the front side of the laptop, and carefully lift the keyboard either with your finger nails or a knife. Remove the metal shield and unlock the wedge connectors to release the flat cables of touchpad and keyboard and take the keyboard aside.

Now close the cover and unsnap the hinge covers from the rear side. Don't lift, just unsnap. Then open the Cover wide and lift the hinge covers carefully from rear to front. Use a knife if the center area won't unsnap voluntarily. Watch out for the frontside hooks, as they break off easily.

Release the 2 display connectors and the hinges (2 rear and 2 top screws) and remove the cover. Now we have only about 12 screws left to remove.

    IMPORTANT:
Put all screws next to their original locations and make photos or a drawing. A long screw in the wrong place can go right through your mobo!!! If in doubt always use the SHORTEST screw that will fit.

Replace all the 1500µF capacitors that show the even slightest swellings on top. Use Ultra Low ESR type caps, like Rubycon MBZ.

    Any more questions?

    Good Luck!

How do I replace the keyborad?

The repair of the replacement of your laptop keyboard www.LaptopPartsExpert.com
is not that difficult of a task. Once you have a new or replacement keyboard for your model, its just a simple process of removing a few screws and attaching a few cables. In most laptops, keyboard can be replaced by removing a single screw on the bottom of the laptop, usually designated by a "K" and removing the snap on strip located above the keyboard between the keyboard and the monitor display hinges (usually where the power button and LED indicators are). Sometimes you will need to remove a couple of screws on the rear of the laptop hinges to remove this strip. This all depends on the make and model of your laptop. Once this strip is removed, you should have access to any additional screws securing the keyboard in place. From there, the keyboard can usally be gently lifted out. There will be a ribboon cable connected to an interface on the keyboard to the mainboard. This is normally latched in place by a small clamp. Insert the ribbon cable from the new keyboard into the mainboard interface and lock it down, then lower the new keyboard into place and replace the screws (if any) which hold the keyboard. Replace the cover strip and snap back into place and replace any screws you had to take out to remove thestrip. Replace the locking screw on the bottom of the laptop and that should do it. Things to remember: 1) Always remove all power sources, both AC and battery before removing any screws or servicing your computer. 2) When the power sources are removed, always push the power button and hold for a few seconds to make sure all power possibly stored in the laptops capicitors is full discharged. 3) always make sure you keep track of all screws removed and put them back in the exact location you removed them from. 4) Do not over-tighten or strip the screws - a quarter turn past the point of of where the screw feels resistant should be sufficient. 5) Always make sure to ground yourself by touching a metal object before you touch any elctronic components of the computer - static discharge held in your body can damage your laptop.

I would normally recommend you locate a service manual before attempting this service, however I was unsuccessful in finding one for you during my search for this model. These are general instructions for changing out a keyboard. There may be specific differences based on your model. If in doubt, consult with a PC Tech at an authorized service center.

I hope this helps FixYa! Please leave us some feedback and a testimonial if you find this information helpful.
