well the most common wire for the new stereo is black (earth), red(Power), blue(Remote), yellow(memory), white,grey(front speakers), green, purple(rear speaker) lil hint if u havent taken the stereo out yet when u do transfur every wire 1 by 1 then u no u wont stuff up

Sony's support site shows the color codes for wiring both a 9-pin and a 16-pin harness. Click the appropriate harness to bring up the color code table.

you may try a thin (pointed) wire coathanger on each side, it is simply a hook at the end that needs to be dis-lodged.

when something is plugged into the jack (mp3 player ect) there should work when you cycle through the options of the deck such as cd, radio, There should be an aux option when it is plugged in.

Do you have the harness adaptors? it is best to use these rather than cutting harness. you can swap factory radio back in at later date and they will tell you the wiring ,if not i will try and locate the diagram for you
