Check these links to download the audio driver.

For Windows XP OS:

For Windows Vista OS:

Check this link also:;jsessionid=AF598CF9EA7CF207807C8F4E97ADB78A.public_a_14b?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&miu10einu24.current.attN2B2F2EEF=3112&sp=page15e&ctx2.c2att1=92&miu10ekcond13.attN2B2F2EEF=3112&CountryISOCtxParam=AU&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=3559666452

Download the Audio Driver and try installing it in the Computer.

If are not able to install it in the Computer then try installing it in SAFE MODE.

Restart the Computer and press the F8 key at startup to boot the Computer in the Safe Mode.

NOTE: While an Operating System is in the Safe Mode, it will have reduced functionality, but it is easier to isolate problems because many non-core components are disabled.

If the issue persists then try performing the System Restore to restore the Computer when it was working normally.

To perform System Restore:

Click on START -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.

Select the date when the audio was working normally and perform the System Restore.

NOTE: The System Restore procedure will restore the Registry and other settings back to the date and time selected. No data will be lost. Saved documents and e-mail will not be affected by performing a System Restore. Any Hardware or Software that has been installed after the date of the restore point will need to be reinstalled.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No sound on laptop think it got deleted by mistake . how can i fix this ?

To fix audio problems, you need to find and install the latest drivers that perfectly match your audio device.

1. To find the latest audio drivers, you need to know your PC brand and model, your Windows® operating system, your audio device brand and model, and the current audio driver installed on your PC.

2. After this, you now have to start the laborious, time-consuming, and headache-inducing task of trying to find the most up-to-date audio driver and save it on your PC. And then you need to uninstall your old driver, and install the new driver you found.

3. You need to ensure that this new driver works 100% with your Windows® version and other hardware devices.

I dont have a sound card or have by mistake unistalled the sound card.please advise on how i can install a audio device for my acer windows vista laptop

Go to My Computer, right click it, select properties, select hardware, select device manager. Is your device listed? Is there a yellow or red mark in the name?

If it is listed and no error markings (red or yellow), right click to open and see what the comments are. It might be that you have the volume turned down.

If it has an error code (red or yellow mark), delete the device and reboot your computer. The operating system will detect the device during POST (Power On Self Test) and will reinstall the software for it.

Thanks for your visit today.

Hi, I have an Acer D150 and I have no "sound icon" or audio at the moment. I think I deleted the audi/sound/icon by mistake a while ago.

If you are referring to the sound icon that's in the system tray (down by the clock), you may go to the Control Panel and create a shortcut.

1. Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio devices
2. Put a check on the box of "Place volume icon in the taskbar" under the volume tab.

If you are referring into another sound icon, please let me know. Have a great day!
