Question about Canon Rebel XT / EOS 350D Digital Camera
I have experienced the same problem with my 20D, and it IS NOT the CF card. Removing the CF card from the camera and downloading the images through a card reader eliminates the problem. I suspect that the problem is caused by a bad connection between the mini-USB connector of the camera and the mini-USB plug.
Check that all the pins in the USB cable are straight and not bent. You will need a torch and possibly a magnifying glass to see this, also check the camera side to see there is no occlusion of the connectors. Check the PC end of the plug for the same. You dont have to have a a CANON Usb cable just buy one that fits, most Tandy stores or similar can help you there just take your camera with you for the fit
