Try opening hidden files or system files on your computer to see whether it is actually full or not, due to some viruses which have hidden attribute and copy themselves up on flash drives. Otherwise try a disk check, sometimes file system errors can show fake memory.
There is a reset button on most mp4 players. It is a button inside a hole as large as a pin, look for such a hole and press it using a pin or someting thin.

I bought an mp4 player branded GPX model ML648S and it just stopped letting me transfer music onto it with any microsoft. i need help, ive tried everything!

I suggest taking a small screwdriver or tip of a pen and holding down the RESET button on the back of the device. This should return the device to it's factory settings. Like getting a brand new MP3 player. Also make sure your memory is not full. You can delete files my opening up My Computer, then GPX device, then Portable Memory, Then Music and then delete songs you no longer wish to hear.

Did the device came with a CD? If yes, install the driver from the CD to your computer, so that way the MP4 will be recognize by the PC.
Once you see the MP4 showing on your PC, right click on your mouse and go to format. On file format you should you should see FAT or FAT 32, try FAT32.
Good Luck.

Cant download music on mp4. It looks like it on when you plg in mp4 into comuter but when doesnt show anything

This is what you do . First you go to reformat the device by using the Reformat button in the settings . It may also be named "Reset Internal Memory" or "Reset Internal Settings" . Once you do that , you basically have a brand new MP3 . Now , what you do is you go to your AUDIBLE file in your MP3 (using your computer) and make a "Music" folder in it . Once youve done that , drag your music files over and presto , youre done . Now , the most important thing is SAFELY EJECT it from youre comp , or this will happen all over again . Hope this helps !

does your nokia device (either the phone memory or memory card partition) show up in 'computer','my computer' or whatever?

if so. -locate your audio/music folder.
-copy and paste music file to that specific folder.
-safley remove device when done.

i got a sony ecricsson and i did not need to install the software included, just connect with usb to the computer and i followed the steps above.

btw can you be more specific about the problems? example:error messages or whatever...

when you have your Vl-875 is plugged in just open up my computer and double click on the f drive (i think its f anyways) and you should get a bunch of folders like "Audio" and "Music" and the like. just open up the Audio folder NOT the music folder and drag your songs into it it you can create folders with in it for naming cd titles etc then just drag and drop your music into the folders you have created
