Look at My PC - device manager - sound card. If it looks like yellow disclaimer, then reinstall the sound driver with all the complementary programs like sound manager etc. In any case reinstalling the driver must help.
If not - delete the sound card device from system via device manager. Reboot the PC. The system will report You about the new device. Follow the on-screen instruction and it will install You all sound drivers. You'll see - it's easy.
