Maybe "Autorun" feature is turned off. (1) You can download a free program called "TweakUI" (powertoys) from Microsoft which would allow you to turn on "Autorun" if it is currently disabled. (2) You could try manually running the disc by opening "My Computer", double-clicking the CD/DVD drive (usually "D") to open its browser, then double-clicking on the file(s) you wish to launch from the CD/DVD.
