I have the 46HM94P since 3 years ago and this is the third lamp I go thru, but this last one was oem but didnt turned on, so I opened the lamp cover loosen the screws and pulled it out a couple of mm and it worked, when it failed I just wiggled it a little and it worked again, but this last time it didnt go on at all, lamp dosnt look blowen, I checked the power harness to the lamp and I get reading of 275 DC volts, I get no continuity on the bulb, usually on normal light bulbs you get continuity thats why I checked it, my other doubt is, if I get voltage to the lamp, does that mean the ballast is ok? and might have a deffective lamp? Thanks.

You might want to look at the lamp again to see it is intact and not shattered----2,000 hours or 2 years is normal life for a OEM lamp but a generic or cheaper version lasts about a year and picture is usually not as bright as with the original ones.
The "LAMP" LED light indication on the front of the tv screen panel flashes or light up?The projection lamp was replaced 3 year ago u belive right? The average projection lamp life about 1 1/2 or 2 years.Withthin function in the tv and in used like 4 or 5 hours a day of tv viewing.Ur tv require a new projection lamp.
When was the projection lamp last change? If the tv,projection lamp inside the tv at last change was 1/ 1/2 or 2 years ago,and the tv is on,an in use at lest 4 or 5 hours day.The projection lamp life,it over should be change the projection lamp. Now tv turn on LED light "LAMP" indication light up or flashes?Yes,the projection is dead, hear alot of clicking too?The Ballast board it also dead, should be change too.The Ballast board, this board job,it help to ignite the projection lamp.
Your lamp is rated for 3000 hours. Is the fan working to cool the lamp? When you turn off the projector do you allow the fan to continue to run? If not the lamp is not cooling evenly and the lamp will fail. Th filters should be cleaned regularly and the vents be unobstructed.
make sure the lamp cover is on because sometimes they have switches on them that turns the on when the cover is on but if its off tv might not come on. If thats not the problem then you might have a bad ballast. Call a local tv repair shop.
My Toshiba dlp 62hm116 was used for 3 months then stored for 2 years, I turned it on yesterday and it makes a loud grinding noise which I think is probably from the exhaust fan area and the picture is black except white at both vertical sides. It worked fine the last time I used it 2 years ago. Any ideas?
I am not sure what the problem is, but usually if a lamp is bad, the other 2 lamps will still function. Since you are getting no picture at all, I am thinking it is a circuit board problem. TV electronics are expected to last 3-5 years. After that, many components will start to go out one by one. If you have your tv repaired, I would replace the whole circuit boards instead of just the bad component. The power board is the #1 board I would replace 1st. This is the most stressed board and will cause most of your tv problems.
How's the lamp?? Sounds like a lamp failure which is the most likely problem with these units. The lamp for that unit is Toshiba p/n# 23311083x but a better source would be http://www.dlplampsource.com/ and they have it for $199.00 dollars with free shipping...
