Make sure your hot and cold water lines arent crossed up. depending on how its plumbed in it could take longer to get to the tub then it does to the sink,

Hot water doesn't work

Does any water come out of the faucet when turned to hot? If not, you may have disconnected the fautet line from the valve and attached the dishwasher line. You can check this by looking under the sink and making sure all lines are connected to valves.

If everything is connected, you may have dislodged some mineral buildup and it is blocking your hot water line to the faucet. You'll have to remove the line and clean it out.

You may have instant hots for the sinks, a small heater for each location which won't be on the tub. If there is a flame fail the hot water heater is not working. Check the flame sensor and ignitor.

Since you have hot water at all the other fixtures, the problem lies in the sink, not the water heater. It could be that the sink is farther away from the water heater than the other fixtures. It would take longer to get hot water.

I TURNED ON THE HOT WATER IN MY BATH ROOM SINK AND NOW IT WONT TURN OFF HELP

There may be a service valve under the sink. If not, there may be a valve over your water heater that you can shut off until the faucet is repaired.

Hot water faucet on an older kohler two handle bathtub faucet only goes on slightly. Will not completely go on and can't force it any farther.

Turn off the water supply to the sink. Now remove the handle on the hot. next remove the seat. When you remove that, you should have a rubber gasket on the bottom. You can take that to any home improvement store. Your seat has gone bad. They make kits for it.

You don't indicate what kind of valve(s) you have in your shower/bathtub.

It is sometimes the case, when you have separate hot and cold valves that use the traditional flat washer, the rubber/viton washer wears over time and actually becomes cut, such that a part of the washer protrudes from the valve face.

Hot water will cause the distorted washer to expand. Consequently, as more and hotter water flows through the valve, the washer expands to the point where it constricts the flow of hot water.

Replace the washer, at least on the hot water valve.

you don't have a circulating line in it,, there for it is pulling the hot only,, when you have the 2 systems you have to have it circulationg or take 1 out, it being it is hot water they will vapor lock,, meening no hot water , you could get a circulating pump that actually hooks to the cold and hot side under the sink far away from the water heater and it has a timer on it that will circulate the water at certain times of the day,,, this would solve your problem
