check for which connections you have on both machines, most tv's now come with dvi or vga, providing you have the correct cable, power down the pc, connect and make sure the tv is on the correct channel then boot your pc, it should recognise your screen automatically.
please give more details of the driver you are looking for. probably indicate whether its inbuilt or an external vga card. also indicate the operating system you are installing it on and i will assist you.
You might like to try one of those provided by Windows. When you boot in safe mode and update the driver of your Graphic card in control panel and device manager, you can choose one of those drivers from windows vga compatible driver list.
