Question about Char-Broil 465133003 Grill

1 Answer

I have a char broil portable tabletop grille. Often the flame comes inside the burner, directly out of the regulator. Is this dangerous? Is there some adjustment I can make that would prevent this from hapenning? This often happens immediately after I open the grille top to check the cooking food.

SOURCE: Low gas flame

Also read the manual, You must open the LP tank valve very slow, the new tanks have funny safety design, I had low flame on the 2nd use w/full tank and was puzzled because it was high flame on the night before.

SOURCE: My Char Broil gas grills flame is taller than it

You need to clean the burners/pathways, its not getting enough oxygen and the flame is starved.

Before buying anything, look into the burners for spider webs. The webs block gas from getting to the burner and will fire back. This is dangerous. Look carefully where the gas nozzle enters the burner tube.

You probably have a bad regulator which you can buy at most stores that sell BBQ's.

Do you use lava rocks or just use propane flame?

Hello, There should be vaporizer tents over each burner. As a reference you can got to website: http://www.charbroil.com/bps/char-broil/char-broil/knowledge/7001189_463453306_english_37f8ef8b-0_.pdf

and refer to the bottom of page 9 or find your model number and enter it into the search bar at the top right of the Char-Broil website: http://www.charbroil.com/

You can order needed parts from there or from Sears which I have found to be quite competitive on their prices.

If you found this helpful please vote yes. Thank You!!

My grill burners burn unevenly and usually too high. Adjustment?

If this is a natural gas grill, check to see if it has a regulator on the gas line. If it does not, you can install a regulator to reduce the gas flow.

Why my Grill does not heat up to 400 ?

Do this..... turn on just one burner. Once the one burner is lit, turn on a second burner. If the flame in the first burner gets lower, you most likely need to replace your regulator.

Lots of yellow - then very low heat

Are the flames still yellow? If so the burner just needs to be adjusted which is very easy? Look at the ends of the tubes that come out of the burner and end right at the back of the gas controls. You should see a small piece of metal that will slide or spin to close a hole. You want to close or open it a little at a time while the grill is burning. Adjust this until you only see blue flame or blue flames with a little bit of a yellow tip.
