Question about Mitsubishi WS-55809 55" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

I have the same problem as above, when I push the power button it clicks on then clicks right back off. When I hold down the menu and input key after unplugging the set it blinks twice, then blinks twice more. According to other posts it may be fuse at or near the IC Convergence. Do I need to call a TV repair man or is this something I can fix on my own?

You most likely saw one of my posts on this--2-2 blinks means (usually) one of the 2 pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit is blown. This means one of the Convergence IC's is shorted or bad(some models use only one chip but most use two).

1.) Depending on actual model number I offer step by step start to finish instructions for this repair--instructions tell you what items you will need to do this repair and start to finish instructions.

2.) I have done hundreds of these sets with this kind of problem--here I have helped many people do this kind of repair themselves.

3.) If you are able to do this yourself you can save a lot of money---most shops TRY to charge 300-400 for this kind of repair--I did 2 today--one a Samsung and the other a Mitsubishi for about 250 each including house call, parts and labor.

4.) If you cannot do this repair yourself shop around the area where you live--Now is the slow time of year for most TV repair shops--if they say it "has to go to the shop" keep looking as any good tech can do this repair in your home in about a hour.

5.) If you have questions or want the instructions let me know the exact model you have (I can email the instructions to you) and if you have any more questions let me know by replying to this posting.

I am here to help people

I do this here for free so if this information has helped you please take a minute and give me a vote here.

OK, I have the instructions for this model if you want them---it uses 2 STK-392-570 chips that you can buy(a pair of them) for about 13 dollars plus shipping on Ebay--if you want the instructions/photos email me--I will not post them here as other people tend to copy my answers here-----etower.766@netzero.net

How can I change to setchannel search auto or man on a westinghouse tv mod ltv20v2sl?thankyou

Since the LTV20V2SL only has an NTSC (analog tuner), you may need a set top box to receive any stations. If you have analog cable or are close to a low-power station that still broadcasts an analog signal, you need to follow the steps below.

First, make sure that the input is set to TV. On the remote, there is a TV button in the second row of buttons below the arrow keys. It's on the left below the MTS button. You could also use the TV/Video button on the top of the TV. It's the right-most button and each press of the button will move through the entire list of available inputs. You can use the original remote to select your signal type with the TV/CATV (Over-the-air or different types of cable TV) button. It's on the right hand side of the row with the TV button. Next press CH. Scan on the remote. It's the second button from the right above the arrow keys.

Alternatively, you can use the on-screen menu. Press the Menu button on the remote (on the left above the arrow keys) or TV (the left-most button). Then use the left/right arrows to navigate to the TV sub-menu. Use the up/down arrows to select the appropriate line. First, set the second line to the correct Input signal with the left/right arrows and press Enter to confirm your choice. Then go down a line and press the right arrow key to start the Auto Scan. Note the Channel up/down arrows are up/down and the Volume up/down are left/right if you use the TV buttons.

I hope this helps.

(If you are using a set-top box, you will need to do the channel scan for that device.)

How do you change to hdmi video source

There are several ways to change your video input source for the E421VO. First: the lowest button on the side of the TV will cycle through the inputs. (The power button is the top button.) The original remote has the Input button to the left of the Zero button at the bottom left of the number area. With both just press the key multiple times to go through all of the inputs. Alternatively, press the Menu button and look for the Source sub-menu. Use the arrow keys to move to the chosen menu. (On the TV, the menu button is below the power button. On the remote, Menu is the button to the top right above the arrow keys.) If you are using a universal remote, you may need to find one that matches the Input or Menu functions for your TV. A different code may help if the remote has either button. Otherwise, you'll need a different remote.

The manual for the Vizio E421VO is available from Vizio's product site: http://www.vizio.com/e421vo.html . Click on the Support/Manuals tab. The direct link to the manual is http://www.vizio.com/documents/downloads/hdtv/E421VO/UM_E421VO.pdf . All of these options are shown in the manual.

I hope this helps.
