Laptop fan spin for 2 second and display not show

On the back of the laptop there should be a compartment.Open it a find the RAM sticks.If you have 2 sticks,remove one and try to run it with only one and repeat the same process with the other stick.If you have an extra RAM please insert a it and run the laptop.

Try doing a power drain.

1. Turn computer off by pressing the power button for about 5 seconds.
2. Take the battery out.
3. Unplug the ac adapter.
4. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
5. Put everything back in.
6. Turn the compuer back on.

Try to drain the electrostatic charge of the motherboard that usually cause this issue. I wrote a tip on how to do the power drain. Try to plug in external monitor on the VGA port and see if you are getting display using external monitor. If you are getting display using external monitor then the problem would be the laptop LCD. If you are getting the same black screen using external monitor then the problem is already the motherboard.

this could be a couple of things wrong.
1.i would try another power cable first.
2,can you hear if the fan is trying to run if not then you may need to take it to some one to have a look at it for you.

The issue is, the motherboard is faulty. You will need a systems engineer to look at it. Some chips are burnt and should be replaced. The only other alternative is to replace the entire motherboard.

Ram or power plucking problem.......fit it correctly and reboot ur system now

try getting the driver from a website called softpedia or rapidshare

Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP audio driver for your model laptop,

1) Replace your laptop's battery.

2) Run Reginout Scan.
