Could be motherboard gone bad. Have you been working inside the case or did this happen all by itself? You can try replacing the battery on the motherboard. It's a long shot but a cheap one and I have seen it work.

Hello sir, try the following make, sure that your power supply is working fine:

  1. turn off the pc and remove the side cover, locate the memory module, and reseat it (remove and put it back). power on the pc. Still not working? (make sure that the 12 volt 4pin molex power connector is pluged on the motherboard)
  2. off again, remove the memory modules again and clean its gold plated contacts by using an eraser (the pencil eraser) then put it back again. power on. still not working? do 1 and 2 several times. (make sure that the memory modules are good)
  3. If several times has not worked, try to isolate the problem by removing all the connectors except. 20/24 pin power connector, the 4 pin 12volt power connector, the vga cable, front panel leds and switch. do 1 and 2 again.
  4. still not working? check your motherboard connections and review your work?
  5. is you pc 220 v plugged on 110v?
  6. Check *********** board.
let me know your progress.

Turn computer on and fan runs loud and monitor will not show desktop although it appears to have pwr.could this be motherboard issue?

Yes! the motherboard may be the issue, first sub out the ram memory one at a time to see if computer can be restored, next remove video graphics card, [if available] and hook monitor to the internal video on the motherboard, if it works it means the video graphics board is defective.

Video will not work on ps3

It may be stuck in the opposite mode of what you are using on the TV like HDMI output or S-Video. To check this press and hold down the power button, you will hear the initial beap once and shortly followed by a double beap. After the double beap immediately remove you finger. You may have to do this once or twice to get the right beap because this is a service menu they do not want you to get into. Once this is done you will have prompts on the tv to change settings to what every output you want. Make sure you change it to the right one and you should be all set.

Play station 3 power comes on but nothing works. You can hear that it is powered up.

It's probably not in the setting you chose for example you might be using HDMI and it might be setted for SCART, to simply change this keep hold of the power key until you hear a beap (the first one when you just press the power key) keep hold of it until you hear another beap then let go. The setting should be changed. No problem :)

Need Diagram for the pwr, reset, pwr led,hdd led speaker connections on the motherboard. Model p5s 800-vm.

Hi there.
On the motherboard look for the front panel, it should be marked PWR and coloured green, also the plug that connects to it should be marked PWR_SW.
Have a look at these pictures for an idea >>>>>>

Please post back with the results and any more advice if needed.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
