Question about Vtech CS5121 Cordless Phone
I can hear a dial tone and the numbers being dialed but I can't hear the line ring or the other person when they pick up but they can hear me. Also when the phone rings, I can't hear the person on the other end but they can still hear me. I have a VTech phone.

SOURCE: No dial tone
It seems you can receive the calls and dial the numbers, by clicking hand free key you will hear the tone. Regarding answering machine I wonder you activate it or not for activating the machine just click the On/Off key on the base or from the main menu on the hand set choose Voice Mail section then activate Answering Machine, in this section you have other options such as Ring Delay (for choosing the delay before Ans.Mach. pick up the phone), Announcements (playing and recording announcements) and Massage Length. Check to see if your Panasonic phone has a flash key feature. If it does, press the flash key down and wait until you hear the confirmation tone. If the Panasonic phone you're using does not have a flash key, hold down the the hook switch for half a second, then release. Dial the number of the third person in your conference call. If you're inviting someone in-house to be a part of your conference call, dial their extension number instead. If you're dialing an outside line you may need to dial 9 before dialing the number.
Wait for the new addition to the conference call to answer and then press the Flash key again. Wait an additional two or three seconds before pressing the number three on your telephone keypad. Start your conference call. Once you've pressed the flash key followed by the number 3, as in Step 4, your conference call is established. If you wish to add additional participants simply repeat Steps 3 and 4.
