Question about Water Heaters

1 Answer

I have a VOKERA 24 boiler the Linea range which was working fine until i notes the pressure was a little under 1.5 Barr. I topped it up the pressure with the filling loop every thing was fine. The next day the over flow pipe was dripping . I noticed the pressure gauge was now showing 2.5 Barr so i let some pressure off by the radiator valve. I turned the boiler off to do this. Then i remembered the boiler needed to be turned on so the pump would need to be working. When i tried to turn the boiler back on the digital clock did not light up but it fired up for about 1-2 minutes then it just turned off. I tried to fire up the boiler again but it just makes a clicking sound then stops a bit like a lock out . I have checked the two fuses in the boiler and the fuse on electric plug. Which are all fine could you please help me with this problem. cheers mate

Water logged expansion tank ( ruptured diaphram in tank) or wrong size tank. This caused the excessive pressure in the system causing the relief valve to open. Also, air in the system causing flow to stop, Both conditions will cause boiler go out on safety.

Vokera aav leaking

Robert, i'm sorry to say but the AAV's are machined parts and the seal should not have been broken by removing the cap. The floats are set perfectly and you would have been easier replacing the whole vent. You could have isolated all the pipes under the boiler and just drained the boiler down by releasing any pressure by the pressure release valve. You may need to buy another AAV and start again.

Low pressure on recently serviced Vokera 14/48se.

Identify the cold feed to the boiler, then look for a tap/service valve which when turned lets water into the boiler via a fill loop to pressurise it. 1-1.5 bar is ok

I have a similar problem with this boiler. When CH on, boiler overpressurises, (check relief valve outlet) You will then lose water from the CH loop and will have to repressurise when the CH loop cools. The problem is most likely caused by a loss of air from the expansion tank, which will need re-charged. This is not a big job as it has a standard tyre type valve connection but needs an accurate pressure gauge. Probably best left for plumber.

Vokera linea combiboiler error code CO

It's got nothing to do with carbon monoxide. CO means the boiler is in combustion test mode, that's all (and in this case -- long since fixed, I imagine, but other people will no doubt find this page in the future -- failing). Vokera could probably have made this clearer, but hey.
