Replacing the 2 stk392-110 on toshibe tn43v71 need resistor watts

I am replacing the six 2.2 ohm resistors r7725,r7728,r7735,r7710,r7720,r7715 and the six 68 ohm resistors r7711,r7721,r7716,r7726,r7731,r7736 on the toshibe tn43v71 while I am replacing the two stk 392-110 convergence ic's Need to know what are the wattages of these resistors please?
I am doing all of this because I have no picture and all I have is a blinking red power light buton. I was reading there might be a blown pico or glass fuse. I can not locate these fuses by the heat sinks of the convergence ic does anyone know whre these are also
Thanks again for any assistance

I still do not know what the wattage of these resistors are? And I do not know the placement of the possible blown fuse

Hi my name is Eric,
I hope I can help you with your issue ,
They are 1 watt resistors all of them, 2 watt is also fine but do not use less than 1 watt.

The higher the wattage rating of the resistor the larger is the physical size. Resistors that dissipate very large amounts of power (watts) are usually wirewound resistors. Wirewound resistors with wattage ratings up to 50 watts are not uncommon. Figure 1-30 shows some resistors which have different wattage ratings. Notice the relative sizes of the resistors. If they are tiny, they are low wattage...1/8th watt.

yes the 2 watt resistor is actually better than the 1 watt. They will both work in place of each other. The important part are the ohms they have to be exactly the same.

It sounds awfully like the resistors are close to breakdown voltage, I would Suggest that you do replace them with the resistors specified, because using anything else in a high voltage product is a fire risk, now who was it that suggested replacing them with higher ohm resistors? was it a service tech or was that right out of a manual or was if from the manufacturer themselves?
Anything to do with resistor replacement, as yo sound like you know, should be taken very carefully, because if you use the wrong resistors, you risk losing the components after the resister due to a higher voltage or sometimes even causing them to stop working due to a lack of current...
Be very careful and please go back to the manufacturer to get the exact resistors quoted from them and make sure you have it in writing from them so that if something fails you have at least done what you could.
Hope this helps, need any more advice, just ask!
***Please remember that advice on electrical appliances needs to be made by a licensed technician that had experience with that specific product otherwise you risk voiding the warranty or sometimes even risk your own life when concerning high voltage products***

Need Bissel 1715 wiring schematic. Charging circuit has burnt resistor. Need to know resistor details.

Can not believe NO ONE could answer this.

The R1 resistor basically drops the 9V to around 5V for charging the battery pack. The resistor is a 10 ohm , 2 watt resistor. The other resistor is 220 ohm. This only limits the current to the LED.

The 10 ohm resistor burnt because the battery pack was left to sit too long without use and charging. So the cells shorted causing excessive current through the resistor when you attempted to charge the batteries.

After replacing the resistor, you will need to replace the battery pack before charging. Otherwise, you'll just burn the resistor again.

The 5 ohm could be challenging, what you could try is to get 2 10ohm 3 watt and put them in parallel. Will be 5 ohm and 10ohm is easy to get

Hope that helps

Samsung pcl5414r power resistors and pico fuses??

Hi again and welcome back to FixYa,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me'.

Based on your original post, only the STK ICs were replaced. Presumably 392-040, the surrounding resistors and pico fuses could very well have been affected as well. Depending on the board revision (pls confirm location numbering on the actual board), the resistors could be:
RZ104 -RZ106 - 270 Ohm 1/2watt
RZ133-RZ135 - 27K Ohm 1/16 watt
RZ136 & RZ138 - 3.3K Ohm 1/8 watt
RZ146 and RZ147 - 3.9 Ohm 2 watt
RZ148 and RZ149 - 150 Ohm 2 watt
while the pico fuses would look like the image below.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

sounds like the convergence ICs and resistors due to the double image. You need two convergence ICs both STK392-110 ICs and the following six resistors. (2) 3.3 ohms 1watt resistors, (2) 1.8 ohm 1watt resistors. (1) 1.8 ohm 1watt resistors. (1) 3.9 ohm1watt resistor. You can get replacemnet ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions so you can do the repair yourself. Heres the link.

They have it, they just list it as a 1-4 watt resistor, just order two of the 1-4 watt resistors and they will send a order confirmation inquireing which rating you need for those two items within minutes of your order.

you need to replace both convergence ICs and the six 1 watt feed resistors. The ICs are both STK392-110 and the resistors you need one of each RK42 3.3 ohm 1watt, RK46 1.8 ohm 1watt, RK50 2.7 ohm 1watt, RK54 1.5 ohm 1watt, RK58 3.9 ohm 1watt and RK62 2.2 ohm 1 watt.

You will need to replace bothe STK392-110 Convergence ICs and the six resistors . You will need two 3.3 ohm 1 watt metal film resistors for RK42 and RK50, then two 1.8 ohm 1 watt metal films for RK46 & RK54, then one 3.9 ohm 1watt metal film for RK58 and finally one 2.2 ohm 1watt metal film for RK62. You can get the two replacemnet ICs and the resistors at the following link and they will include fre instalation instructions with pictures so you can do the repair your self.

CT-27SX11E Fixed but need advice on R value

i would not recomend replacing the 7w with the 5w, beacuse the resistor will allways run hot, hotter then the resistor should be. the resistor could possible melt anything that touches it & will not last as long as the original before it goes bad. find a 7w, if just for safty reasons.
