Question about Jenn-Air http://www.jennair.com/catalog/product.jsp parentCat=2&cat=17&prod=155 Electric Range

Open Question

I have a JES9800AAW Jennair oven that vents thru the floor. I noticed the vent van was running when I had not run the oven. Yesterday and today the Fault code F1-1 comes on even when I use the electric burners. What does these mean? The people at Jenn air had no answer and told me to call a repairman.

SOURCE: How can a Jenn-Air down draft stove be vented out the roof ?

Yes , its much more labor intense but it can be done by venting it up through the wall then through the attic over to the side vents. Make sure to get flexable duct to pull up through the wall.

SOURCE: trunk leaking water thru vents in the side walls

Easy to fix. Remove trunk liner or peel back on passenger side. Squeeze tabs that hold in the vent housing and push out. You have to loosen the bumper panel over in the wheel well area. This is just two bolts that take a 10 mm wrench and a plastic body clip. Remove vent from outside of car. Take off old gasket and throw away. Clean vent and metal around where vent goes completely with lacquer thinner. Use a product such as Lexel to caulk around where gasket used to be. Be liberal with caulking, it all covers. Reinstall vent and other parts in reverse order. Poblem solved. One hour to do and no special tools required.

Float is sticking in one or more carbs. To narrow which one it is, drain each carb seperately, measuring the feul in each carb. The one with the most is the one the float is sticking on. Be sure that the top vent lines are not blocked or colapsed.

Hi. Have your car aircon evaporator cleaned. Check also the drain hose. All water should go out of the car through the drain hose. There might be something clogging up the hose that is why water will run out the floor and that causes also the aircon to work intermittently.

Have a good one!

Whirlpool microwave oven mh7155xmb0 not venting

Possibly a bird built a nest (swallows) in or on the roof vent. Make sure the fan turns freely when off. Check the vent tube that goes up to the roof--if flex-tubing, it may have collapsed and pinched off the air flow (it may be too long). Make sure that a one-way valve which should be near the exit of the hood is free to move when air flow pushes on it. This valve is supposed to prevent back-flow of air into the house. Hope this helps!

No air flow through 4 top rear vents

Don't worry, it's designed that way. The owner's manual is pretty unclear about this. But the heated air only comes out the floor vents underneath the front seats and the "heat vents" at the forward and side of the rear A/C compartment near the floor. The cooled or vent air flows from the overhead vents.
