Question about Vizio P50HDTV10A 50 in. Plasma HDTV
We mounted our Vizio plasma TV on the wall today which necessitated unplgging and replugging in the cables. Now we are seeing some fleeting irregularities (picture quality) when watching TV. When moving the TV from the factory stand to mounting on the wall, the unit was not jarred, dropped, etc. Was working just fine before this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is a very common Ground loop problem. The quick cure is to put a 2 prong to 3 prong adapter on the plugs which effectivly removes the ground from the circuit and stops your lines. Have fixed over a hundred TV's since the 60's that way.

SOURCE: wall mount hardware
The bolt size you need is: M8-1.25 X 20. 20 is the length that I used and it works well. You could also use 25 (which is a little longer) if you would like. It took about 5 trips to Home Depot and Lowe's and a few hours searching the web before we got it right.

This could cause by the power supply or the mainboard.
- If the LED stay Green when you turn on the TV. But you can not turn it off, in this case the main board has failed. Replace the mainboard will fix the problem.
- If the LED light always stay at Orange, you can not turn on of off. In this case the mainboard also has failed.
- If you turn on the TV you will hear the power supply click on the LED is green then it click off the light turn Orange. In this case the power supply has failed.
Which boards did the repair shop replace?
Hope this will help.

Try unplugging the TV for a few minutes (discharges the ballast/ps) then plug in and attempt to power on. I have the 42P Vizio over two years old and ran into the same problem a few times. First thought was a power supply issue, but the unplugging trick worked. Good luck.
