Very interesting. the first thing I would do is make sure I was getting voltage to the gas assembly. If you have no voltage to the gas assembly then either the control thermistat or the fuse next to it on the blower housing is blown.

After all 5 burners ignite, one of either outside burners will flash out and blu flame licks upward.

If you have 'inshot' burners or the standard old 'ribbon' burners, there could be little wings on the sides of the burners that are responsible for spreading the flame from the igniters location to the burner next to it. I would think the two outside burners need to be 'tweaked' a tad bit either clockwise or counterclockwise to align better the little 'flame-spreader' wings. Some older ones ignite the burners by use of a 'zip-tube' which carries the igniting flame across the top of the row of burners to light them in a 'blanket' pattern. This style was typically the old 'atmospheric' burners and not the ones with combustion air fans.

Gas range burners are sparking when one burner is turned on, how do I change the ignitors

It is common for all burners to spark when one burner is turned on. Of course only the burner you turned on will light.

Only left side of burners working

If you have the Cal Flame burners that are straight, cast brass burners, there is a slot under neath the burners on the back end of the burners. This slot allows the flame to move from the left side of the burners to the right side of the burners. This slot in the burner will corrode shut and not allow the flame to move from the left to the right side. Sometimes you can scrape out the corrosion, and sometimes you can not. If you can't get the slot open, then you have to replace the burners. Cal Flame burners also have a reputation for warping.

Front Burners very low back burners not working

Front 2 burners light properly but back burner does not light. Checked cleaned spider guards, even removed the burner making certain it was clean. Reassembled the back burner but it still does not light.

If your top burners are not lighting or will not work, it is possible that the burners have become dirty or wet. Please follow the troubleshooting directions below before calling service:
  1. Turn you burner to the Lite position:

If you hear clicking or sparking, go to Step 2.

If you do not, check your circuit breakers. If the circuit breaker is ok, we recommend that you schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule service online.

  2. Clean the burner and electrode:

First remove the burner grate, cap, and head. Use a needle or paper clip to poke through the holes on the burner head. Re-assemble and try the burner.

Remove the burner grate, cap, and head. Even if it looks clean, wipe the tip of the electrode with a clean, dry paper towel and PRESS IT DOWN. Re-assemble and try the burner, again.

Check to see if the burner works, If not, then go to Step 3.

  3. Re-assemble - Make sure that each burner top matches its burner bottom. The burner top will lay flat if put on correctly.

Check to see if the burner works, If not, then go to Step 4.

  4. The spark igniter is operating properly, but the burner is still not lighting. At this point, we would recommend that you schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule service online.

Clicking noise on cooktop even when all burners ignite

I have a viking gas cooktop. The ignitor on one of my front burners wouldn't stop clicking even after the flame ignited. I swapped that ignitor with the ignitor from a back burner, expecting that the problem was with the ignitor and that the back burner would start to click incessantly, but at least I'd have my favorite front burner for use. Instead, the front burner was then only clicking 50% of the time and the back burner was fine, suggesting the problem was related to the burner not the ignitor. I pulled the front ignitor a bit away from the burner and now it is working normally. Hope this helps.
