With oven pre-heating and 1 top burner on , the range breaker poped. Turned everything off and breaker still won't reset. Range is hard wired, just cannot unplug. Likely causes?
It may be a wire fried or came loose, and is touching metal. if an exposed wire is touching metal, you wont be able to reset the breaker. pull the range out, and remove the back, and if necessary, lift the top and check the wires to the burners also. it should be easy to spot the wire that's causing the problem from there. let me know if you have further questions, shane
