Yes! You may not be able to take the machine apart. Since you are sure that there is no paper jam, make sure that there is no dust inside the part of the paper. Get a long handle brush and try to reach far into the paper part as you can and brush well. If the back is assessable do the same from the back as well. If your printer is a small DeskJet (they are usually problematic) try this over and over.
