How do I connect a Realistic Home Equalizer to a Stereo Home Receiver?

I need a little bit more information first. Does the receiver connect to a separate amplifier? Or perhaps a effects in & out jacks? If the receiver uses a built in amplifier and does not have input/output rca jacks for an EQ then chances are slim that you will be able to install the Equalizer. Again, I would need more information. Model number of the receiver and equalizer as well as the input output jacks.
