Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC

2 Answers

Long story short, a friend removed every program on my computer and I got it back with nothing more than Outlook Office and my pictures. I no longer have an Audio drive and therefore no sound. Can anyone tell me how to get sound back on my computer? The only number I can see on the inside of my tower is N1996. My machine is an Emachine T5036 although he told me it is no longer an Emachine. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jess

I went to the manufacturer's site and because my computer was basically gutted, meaning it is no longer an Emachine, they said they couldn't find my computer and that I needed to send proof of purchease. I bought it over 2 years ago so fat chance of me finding that receipt now. is there any other way? Can I go buy one? lol I wouldn't have a clue what to ask for.
    Thanks
    Jess

You need to download and install the audio driver for your computer from the manufacturer's website. That's it.

Hi Jess, it sounds like you are in need of a new sound card for your machine. Fortunately, they are relatively inexpensive, like $10 to $20, for a basic card that will work for most people. If you have the old card, just take it in and get one with the same kind of slot. If you don't have it, and you have a digital camera, just take some photos of the inside of your computer where the card slots are and show those photos to the computer store salesman and they will get you the right card. If you can't do that picture taking, just bring the computer with you to the store and ask for someone like a manager who would easily be able to tell you what type card slot you have and will recommend a sound card for you.

Exactly as it says, go to control panel, add-remove programs, Microsoft Office - change, but not uninstall. Have your CD ready, ask it to repair. Be ready to download lots of updates after it is finished from Windows Update.

I TRIED ABOUT 10 TIMES TO DOWNLOAD MICROSOFT OUTLOOK ORDER # 11160568 AND WHEN ABOUT TO BE COMPLETE THE DOWNLOAD FAILS DUE TO AN ERROR. PLEASE HELP ME

Hi

You do not say where you are downloading from or if you have paid for the download.

Genuine, licenced, MS Office Outlook is not available as a free download.

Either the source of your download is not a genuine, reputable one or there may be a corruption in the Office Outlook files installed on your computer causing an incomplete or corrupted download.

Start > Control Panel > (Add or Remove Programs) Programs > Uninstall a program > highlight MS Outlook > Remove all components of MS Outlook > Close > Restart computer > Download again (from a reputable source).

MS Outlook is no longer available as a download from Microsoft, see here:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/results.aspx?filter=5&qu=download&av=zol120

If you insist on using Outlook 2007, you will probably have to buy the software, or pay to download it from a reputable site, such as:

http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-Office-Outlook-2007/3000-2367_4-15311.html

If you want to download from Microsoft, it will have to be MS Outlook 2010 from here:

http://emea.microsoftstore.com/UK/en-GB/Microsoft/Outlook-2010

I hope this helps.

My microsoft outlook no longer works. It is terribly slow and I have lost my spam options what is the fix?

By not working, do you mean can't get in at all, errors what exactly? If the whole computer is running slow you most likely have viruses. If it's just outlook start by repairing outlook.
Go to Start/Windows Key Control Panel Add/Remove Programs/ Programs Click on Microsoft Office/Outlook and run the Repair option.

Comment back for further assistance.

I no longer get my e-mail delivered to my Outlook program. I just recently got an e-mail alerting me to update the program. After doing so, I haven't received another e-mail.

Several days ago I was at the I-net and observed there an interesting software, which I downloaded. Unfortunately after that something happened with my computer. I lost all my data!!! In some time to my great surprise a friend suggested a program. Perhaps it will assist here just like me - repair outlook.

It says office application version does not match every time I open my documents.

Firstly
***

When opening a Microsoft Office program or file you may get a message that says “Office Application Version Does Not Match Error”. This is most likely caused by having the Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager installed on your computer. Many computers that come with the Office trial program installed will have this on their computer from when it was new.

There are a couple of ways to get rid of this error. First you can install the update from Microsoft that gets rid of the error.

Or you can go into Add and Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista) and uninstall the Outlook 2007 Business Contact Manager if you don ’t use it. It won’t affect any of your Office programs. You may get a message during the uninstall process that it can’t remove it from your Outlook profile but just click Ok and finish the uninstall.

*************
or

*******
Bit of an odd one this error message. It is issued when you start Microsoft Word 2007 (or indeed Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007 or Publisher 2007) on a computer that has Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager installed. You can download a a patch that will stop this error message appearing here.

Hope this will solve your problem

You could try and repair office by going into add/remove programs if it's XP, or programs and features if its vista.

Both are found in control panel.

Find your office 2003 line in add/remove programs, click uninstall, and you should get a repair option. YOu will probably need the disk to repair it.

MS Office 2003 Problem with Bold

Hi there,

You could have done a number of things (by accident of course) so it’s hard to find - on line.

Therefore the best solution would be; to remove you Office installation and re install it.
Start -> Settings -> Control panel ->ad remove program, find and remove Microsoft office.

Restart the computer, and reinstall your office.

How to delete office outlook 2007

Go to start menu, go to control panel, click on add/remove square. It will give you a list of all the programs and things in your computer, click on office outlook once to select it, then click on the remove option, should be on the top right side of the screen or in the left side menu.
Be very careful not to remove any other programd o that slowly and pick the right program you want to remove/delete.
