As I've lost Operating manual for this Blower, could you advise if it is a "2/stroke" mixture, i.e. what petrol/oil mix is required

If its a hand held Vac/Blower then I don't know of any that aren't 2 stroke.

Your part number isn't much help, you're welcome to post a picture of it. As I say, if its handheld and petrol then it will be a 2 stroke. Mix ratio is generally 50:1 That's 100ml of oil in 5L of petrol. Some manufacturers use a ratio of 40:1 which if used in the wrong machine can seize the engine, doing more damage, so stick to the 50:1 ratio to be on the safe side.

What is the fuel mixture?

hi there
pfrolander

the ratio of oil to petrol you should use is 50:1 ( that is 20 mils of hi quality 2 stroke oil per 1.0 litre of petrol you mix ) using hi quality sthil / husqvarna 2 stroke oil

1000 divided by 50 = 20 mils of oil per 1.0 litre of petrol

NOTE if you do not have any hi quality 2 stroke but some from your local garage ( that you may use in say a scooter for example use 40 mils of oil per litre it is richer

this will do the job

cheers hope it helps

I have an older echo blower. just had it tuned up and adjusted and still running poorly. just wondering if it is my fuel mixture of 25;1

25:1 may be too rich a mixture. Clean your spark plug well. Then get some good synthetic 2 stroke oil and try a 32:1 mix or a 40:1 mixture. Here is a fuel mix chart for you use.

Dont know what the oil gas mixture is suppose to consist of

Your manual (from Sears) states that your mix ratio is 40:1. You will need 3.2 ounces of Poulan "Pro" synthetic 2 stroke oil mixed in 1 U.S gallon of gas or you can mix 1.6 ounces of the oil in a half-gallon of gas. They suggest using the Poulan "Pro" brand synthetic oil. I do also. Synthetic oil significantly reduces wear, allows the machine to run cooler, and burns cleaner with less by-products and emissions. You can view a PDF file of your manual here:

What fuel does my Echo pb500H use??? 2 stroke oil gas mixture????

2 stroke means that it is a gas mixture. 4 stroke means that there is no gas oil mixture.

Fuel is VERY flammable. Use extreme care when mixing, storing or handling, or serious personal injury may result.

A 50:1 ratio with 89 Octane fuel can be used in all ECHO 2-stroke equipment, provided the oil is ISO-L-EGD and JASO M345 FC/FD certified. ISO-L-EGD and JASO M345 FC/FD oil must be used with a mid-grade (89 octane) or premium gasoline in all 1997 and newer engines.

A 50:1 Ratio = 1 US Gal. 89 Octane + 2.6 fl. oz. ECHO POWER BLEND OIL

Echo Power Blend Universal 2-Stroke Oil can be used in all of our 2-cycle air-cooled equipment ever made. You may also use this oil in any other brand of 2-cycle air cooled equipment, but it should always be mixed at the 50:1 ratio whether or not it was a 32:1 or 16:1 etc. machine. This oil is the highest quality 2-cycle oil on the market today. There is no need to have more than 1 tank of fuel for your 2-cycle equipment any more.

What is the fuel mixture ratio?

this will run on 50-1 mix,,but i would run it on a 40 - 1 mix unless yuou use the right 2 stroke engine oil,,if you use car engine oil mix it at 40 - 1 look at it this way,,,its a 2 stroke so it needs oil or it will seize up and reck your engine,,if you put a little more oil in it will smoke a little bit more but it will never seize up,,,mine is 20 years old now,,,time speeks dont it?

Confused a little

A 4 stroke motor does NOT have Oil in the Fuel. There is NO fuel mixture. Just use regular gas. The only place you need oil is in the sump, and regular 20/30 motor oil will be fine. This only needs to be replaced when low on dipstick in crankcase.
