Question about Ruud UBHC Air Conditioner
I have the RUUD model : UBHC-17J14SFA and a white rodgers single stage thermostat.
there is 2 circuits energizing 2 pairs of heaters 1&3 and 2&4 via 2 relays, the relay 1 energizes the heaters 1&3 and the fan, it loocks to work fine because the fan starts normally.
The relay 2 is energized only when the watt restrictor enables that.
In my case, the problem should be otherwise the restrictor or the the relay2.
question : after 5 years running time of this model, the part to replaced is it watt restrictor or relay ?
to short the watt restrictor, is it a feasible solution ?
is it better to replace the thermostat with the double stage one?
thank you for your help, please use my email adress firstname.lastname@example.org
I think what you are trying to ask is should you use a 2 stage thermostat or stick with a single and just double the stages on a relay to work at the same time. As long as the relay can handle the amp load, there is no real need for a 2 stage heat system, unless you are concerned by the efficiency of $$. If I am missing the question please reply.
