Sounds like the person who repaired the leak may have disconnected something and failed to reconnect. I would contact them and tell them what is happening

My Husqvarna YTH2148 B yard tractor with auto transaxle and 48: mower deck is stuck in gear. Will not free wheel when shifted into neutral. How do I release? Thanks.

This fender shifted unit may need to be adjusted via shifter linkage. The linkage may not be finding neutral when the lever is in neutral. Try to move the lever easily into forward or reverse to see if the transmission can find neutral. If you can, then the linkage will need to be adjusted to compensate.

Mower wont move forward or backwards and makes a ticking noise when pushed.

Just a thought , maybe the key that locks the pulley to the input shaft on top of the transmission has sheared and the pulley is just spinning on the shaft or the key on the axle shaft that locks the wheel to the axle and that would allow the brakes not to work.

Husqvarna gear oil

I assume you are referring the the transaxle? The replacement oil in the transaxle is as follows: This model ran either a Hydro-Gear or Tuff-Torque transaxle. If Hydro-Gear use: 20W50 synthetic. If Tuff-Torque use: 10W30 synthetic.

Dear sir regarding the auto transmission gear position no 4 is no funtion only can drive use gear no 3 .thank you.

1. faulty transaxle, 2. faulty clutch disc, 3. release lever and bearing not assembled properly, 4. faulty pressure plate., 5. pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts loose. Another thing would be to check the fluid to make sure you don't have a leak someplace in the system. Even if the clutch works ok, it might not be releasing something as it should do to a leak in the hydraulic system.

Lost drive and lost brakes, belt still working fine

Look on the back of the tractor and locate the release lever for the transmission. If it is pulled out in the "roll" position, push it back in to re-engage the transaxle.

Also if you want to, here is a link whare you can download an Owners Manual/Parts list for your tractor. . . .

In forward gears it starts then acts as if it is not in gear

The valve on the transaxle is not fully opening. Clean the lever and linkage to the valve and lube it up.

Checking fluid level 2008 saturn vue transmission

  • Step 1 Check the outside temperature. Start the vehicle. Drive at a normal pace for 15 minutes if the outside temperature is above 50 degrees. If the outside temperature is below 50 degrees, drive for an addition 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Park the vehicle in a safe location on a level surface. Place the gear selector in the Park position. Apply the parking brake. Leave the engine running.
  • Step 3 Place your foot on the brake pedal and apply pressure. Move the gear shift lever through each gear pausing 3-4 seconds at each location. Return the gear shift lever to the Park position.
  • Step 4 Allow the engine to run at idle for 3-5 minutes. With the engine still running, pull back on the hood release lever located under the dash to the left of the driver’s side. Lift the hood to its fully opened position.
  • Step 5 Locate the Automatic Transaxle fluid dipstick near the back of the engine. It will have a red loop handle. Grasp the red loop handle and pull the dipstick straight out.
  • Step 6

  • Hello, a sidenote on how new your car is I would not worry about checking your transaxle fluid at the current time. You do the above following information to check your fluid and a good rule of thumb is to not work under a car while it's running. You can check the level by the old forefinger or pinky trick and if you can feel the fluid in the transaxle with your finger the level is fine. I would highly recommend however to check your fluid with your dipstick. If your vehicle does not have one you will have to run through the steps above and check the fluid with a mirror so you do not burn your fingers. I hopes this information solves your problem. Also a sidenote, dealerships have recalled your vehicle for a transaxle leak if yours is leaking do the check above and tighten the fill plug to a torque specification which can be found in a Haynes or Chilton Auto Repair Manual. If your vehicle is under warranty I would have your dealership correct this maintenance issue for you.
Wipe the dipstick clean with the rag or paper towel. Insert the dipstick back into the reservoir. Wait 3-5 seconds. Pull the dipstick straight out.
  • Step 7 Observe both sides of the dipstick. Read the side with the lower level of fluid on the dipstick. If the fluid is in the crosshatched area the level is acceptable. Reinsert the dipstick into the reservoir and close the hood. If the level is below the crosshatched area, more fluid should be added to the automatic transaxle.

How do I get trans to roll free, is there a pin or something I have to relase to get tractor to free wheel

    Hello lreed27:

Most Transaxles will Allow the Unit to Move when in Neutral as Long as the Parking Brake Lever is Released, Unless the Transaxle is a Hydrostatic/Hydromatic Transaxle. If a Hydro Transaxle, then there has to be a Pressure Release Lever that will Open the Internal Bypass Valve and Allow the Hydraulics System to Free Flow the Hydraulic Oil throught the Transaxle and Allow the Unit to Move.
    >>On the Transaxle is an OEM Identification Plate. Send me the Information Off of This Plate, Please. With this Information, I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist You.
Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Be Happy. Thanks.

How do I get the clutch to release from the transmission on a evo

All 1996 Model Year and newer vehicles
equipped with manual transaxles except Accents
, which have the "push" type clutch system. SERVICE PROCEDURE:
    • Drain the transaxle gear oil.
    • The reference photo to the right shows the clutch related components as viewed from outside the transaxle case.
75c260f.jpg Loosen the release lever nut and washer
Separate the release lever by removing the snap pin and clevis pin.
Separate the release lever from the fork shaft.
Loosen the bolts attached to the release cylinder and separate the release cylinder from the transaxle assembly (no need to open the clutch hydraulic system).
    • Remove the transaxle assembly after removing each bolt attached to the engine assembly.
    • Remove the clutch cover assembly. The release bearing is still attached.
To separate the release bearing from the clutch cover, rotate the release bearing to gain access to the bearing snap ring.
