Problem for Kodak EasyShare C533 Digital Camera

I had this camera for a while and one day I was taking pictures and all of a sudden the lens/zoom wont go back in. I turn the camera on and it turns on for a second then the little light blinks red then turns off. The lens shutter stays open. Can you please help me solve this prooblem.I

Same thing happens to mine. Try opening the battery door and pushing in on the battery a few times until it starts operating. It's a loose connection in there and a sign that you should send it back in if its still under warranty. At least you will be able to hopefully get it working again at least temporarily. I wish there was a more permanent solution.

You didn't mention the type of battery used but if they are rechargeable, one bad cell of three or four can cause this.
If a proprietary battery pack, have it checked if you don't own a multimeter.
I've seen this behavior on each camera we have owned.
