Question about Moen & One Handle Tub & Shower Faucet
You will need a handle puller, you can get one at a hardware store. You might even try pouring alittle vinegar on it first, toloosen it up. Be gentel and try pullers first, then try to wiggle maybe. Being so old the end of stem might break off in handle. If so remove stem and take both handle and stem store to match up. P.S. remember to shut off water at main first.

Remove the handle and see if it will turn off without the handle and if it will reposition the handle alignment and your good to go. If no the cartridge will need to be replaced.
