White vertical streak and character fragmentation

For Canon MX330 I get a white vertical streak (one character wide) in the exact middle of the page, and character fragmentation. The problem is exactly reproducible, i.e., exactly the same bad page is printed each time. Did printer head alignment, cleaning, replaced cartridges. Characters are not lost on printing; the streak 'pushes' the rest of the line to the right.
