Remote controll replacement

If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.
Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.
Check this link too.

n these remote controls any device key can operate other device types because coding is by selecting a number from a list ranges for UET609 - tv: 000-268 and 700-758, vcr: 269-370 and 750-758, sat/cbl: 371-523 and 800-883, aux (cd, dvd etc): 524-699.
As there are 800 codes, select the appropriate device before searching for a code! This presets the start position in the search.
To set a code:-
Press and hold [set], press device key - red led lights. Release keys. Enter 3-digit manufacturer's device code from the list. Led goes out and the code is set. If it doesn't work try another or search.
To search for a code:-
Turn on consumer device!
Press and hold [set], press appropriate device key - led lights - release keys - press [set] - led blinks. Press [power] key repeatedly till device is switched to standby - press device key to store the code. If, after releasing the keys, [set] is pressed twice, search runs backward through the list.
Having found the code, it may be useful to write it down, as follows. Press and hold [set] - press [1] and release. Count and record the number of times the led blinks - release [set]!. Repeat for [2] and [3].
Note! The above information is from the manufacturer of the remote controls. In practice, things may be a little different i.e. on the UK Sagem digibox [power] is digit 1 and the power key is [tv/txt]!
These controls can be regarded as old stock and may not contain codes for digiboxes and DVD drives. However, surprising things happen, if a manufacturer is using old codes. The Goodmans GDB3 digibox can use UET609 sat/cbl code 424 and the Sagem ITD59G can use unlisted code 836.
To repeat, the protocols and associated key codes are referred to by a 3-digit control code, taken from a list of 800. You should find the necessary code fairly quickly - within 100 tries, if you select the correct device type.!
There is at least one more remote control in this series and operation should be the same, though the key layout varies between models.
At times, these remote controls can malfunction.
Red Led stays on - Remove the batteries and re-insert them.
Remote Control suddenly stops operating - make sure correct device key is selected. If necessary, re-enter the relevant device code. If this fails leave the batteries out over-night and re-enter the codes.
Codes: 044,054,119,124,196,198,225,227.

Remote contol will not work

directv remotes are not guaranteed to work w/ all types of TV's. when programming remote to TV, make sure you are holding down MUTE and SELECT both at the same time for about 4-5 seconds. until it blinks twice at the top of the remote. also the slide switch must be under the "tv" mode on the right hand side. the website i provided is by directv, and has a list of their codes for the brand of tv that you have.

if you are trying to program a remote to a directv box, and none of the codes are working for the directv box, contact directv to have them send you a new remote.

Thomson TopupTV DV3 160 will not record programmes

Purchase one of the automatic searching programmable remotes. Make sure that it is a remote that can search and not one that only has a list. I found that a lot of inexpensive ones (less than £20) do get to work some basic functions - recording included. The usual way to set these up is to set the device you want to control to on and set the remote to search for the code. When the device turns off you will have found a code which you store - please note that there maybe multiple codes that work with a device and it is just a matter of trying each reactive code in turn for the closest functionality. In other words some codes might appear to change channels give menus but not work with the coloured buttons whereas another code later on the sequence might do everything. So its a long process to ensure you have the right code, but once its found - you have a remote again. It can also be setup to run multiple devices - so one control does the lot!

Direct TV HD Receiver/Recorder codes

Check the Innovage manual for the automatic code search. If it works, you still may not have full control of your HR20. Try to program your Directv remote to operate your components

Verizon FIOS Motorola 6200-2 HD box remote freezes

i'm a verizon employee currently working at a customer's house. just swapped out 3rd 6200 stb, the channels will seemingly change on their own(scrolling) after pressing the remote just a few times. the root of the problem is that the remote is not responding to the stb in the first place properly. all i can figure is that there is some type of ir interference. i've placed the remote 1" from the stb and the same problem exists. it's not the box and the remote is brand new, tried 3 remotes as well. there is something going on in the atmosphere around the box - in or outside the custmer's house. they were on vacation and when they came back this is the trouble they were having. i don't have an answer, just some type of possibilities. there is a power transformer outside on a pole approx. 100' from the house and we had bad storm related issues in the past week. i know it's a stretch, but you never know. could be surround sound/ stereo equipment generating some kind of field??????????? good luck.
